Do you really want to burn fats? Really sure?

Here we go. The summer opens the door to her small urban hell.
Where are the results of the gym?
Damn… I never went to the gym, how comes I can’t see the results of the sport I didn’t do?
I’ve done … NOTHING to have a perfect body… how comes I don’t have one?

The cruelest thing is that this performance anxiety comes certainly not from our distracted minds. We, the small p[r]etty stragglers,  would not be able to have a sense of guilt spontaneously, because life is too short and there is too much white wine to drink.
The point is that there is a perverse and perfect mechanism, that leads us to it. A series of more or less direct messages that say:
– Are you ready for swimsuit season?
– Cellulite is a disease …, Fight it!
– Learn How to lose weight like Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie and Bellatrix Lestrange did
– Ready for the beach with pilates and electroshock!

Switching the TV off is not enought, nor is stop buying magazines.
The evil reaches us also on our PCs, where sudden banners say:
– This celebrity has lost eight pounds in a month, learn how
– This algae digests at your place, no more diets!

So we try, every day, to escape those feelings of inadequacy that only the catechism have tried to put on us. And how do we do it?
We trust our safe radical and alternative harbors.

One of mines was, for example, the website GreenMe, container of Bio_Green_fair tutorials. A portal that directs you muggles to the Veg life and teaches how to recycle everything, how to build a cabinet from the leftovers of coffee and a shelter with the ashes of your grandmother.

Untill one day, when they succumbed  in front of the temptation of trivialities. And published a video of a blonde young nutritionist (?) With Milanese accent that explains which are the FAT-BURNING foods.
Now … dramatically aware of the plethora of young girls who decide to become vegetarian to lose weight, and aware of the terrible consequences of this affair, I get scared. And I get angry, too.

I have two dear friends, very good nutritionists. Sometimes they scold me for my lifestyle, and sometimes they accompany me into it, walking along with me in the depths of perdition. This was their comment to this video.

Dr. Catherina Monaco:
Sabri … I listened to the girl until the end just because you asked me…. what a terrible mess! The best fairy tale (read ridiculous) is when she talks about the foods that stimulate diuresis and melt fats away with the urine’ . When she says that cereals containing fiber (which then, all cereals?) burn fat, I realized it was just a vegetarian GreenMe propaganda.
Now, Sabri, you know the respect that I have for vegetarians but stating such things so blatantly distorted looks so manipulative to me.

Dr. Ruggero de Simone:
Sabri no way …. from the chemical point of view there are no foods that burn fats, but only substances in foods that help and regulate metabolic processes and thus can improve the overall netabolic performances …. The term is used to deliberately mislead ….

Now, once you understand that fat around your belly and ass worth billions of Euros of investments in pubblicity … are we really sure we want to lose them? It’s a kind of personal patrimony…
